🛟 Dead Man's Switch

A free safety net: if you stop checking in, we post a public missing-person alert and notify the emergency contacts you chose — so a person you trust can involve the police with everything ready to hand them.
🔒 Your privacy: your evidence stays on your own cloud drive — we never host or see it. Your alert details are encrypted and are not reviewed by our staff. Your password is one-way hashed and unrecoverable.

Create your account

Your email + your own password. We can't recover the password, so keep it safe.

STEP 1

Who to look for & who to alert

The encrypted alert details. Only the automated alert ever reads them.
STEP 2

Connect your evidence (stays on YOUR drive)

Your files never come to us. You share a folder from your own cloud account, paste the link here, and if your switch fires, the link goes privately to your emergency contacts only — never into a public post.
How to make a share link (pick your drive)
Safest setting: share the folder with your emergency contacts’ email addresses only. Then nobody else can open it, even if they get the link.
Google Drive: right-click your folder → Share → add your contacts’ emails as Viewer → Copy link.
Dropbox: Share → enter your contacts’ emails (can view) → Copy link. (Dropbox “anyone with the link” links are public.)
OneDrive: Share → “Specific people” → add emails → Copy link.
iCloud Drive: Share → Share Options → “Only people you invite” → add contacts → Copy link.
Proton Drive: Share → invite by email (end-to-end encrypted), or create a link with a password and give the password to your contacts separately.
STEP 3

Set your check-in code

A separate code you enter to prove you're okay (not your password). It's the only thing that resets your clock.

✅ Check in (I'm okay)

Do this regularly. If you don't for the full window, the alert fires.
STEP 4

Arm it

Only works once steps 1 & 3 are done. You can disarm anytime.
This is an automated safety tool, not an emergency service — in a real emergency call 911. If it fires, it posts a public alert and notifies the emergency contacts you chose; they decide whether to involve law enforcement. Keep your check-ins current to avoid a false alert.
